How To Join the UDC 

Eligibilty

Those eligible for membership are women not less than 16 years of age who are lineal or collateral descendants of men and women who served honorably in the Army, Navy, or Civil Service of the Confederate States of America who gave material aid to the cause; and women who are lineal descendants of members or formal members of the organization provided the applicant is personally acceptable to the organization.  Women who were adopted are eligible only through the bloodline of a biological parent.  No applicant, whose ancestor took the Oath of Allegiance prior to April 9, 1865, shall be considered eligible.

We would love to have you join our Chapter. Contact us today and our Registrar will be happy to assist you with the necessary documentation required to join the UDC. The goal is to start with yourself and document each generation with birth certificates, marriage records, death certificates, census records, etc. back to your Confederate soldier ancestor. Our Registrar can guide you through this process.
